Was Miró's art considered too simplistic?
Some may have perceived my work as simplistic, but my intention was quite the opposite. I sought to distill complex emotions and ideas into their most essential forms. This apparent simplicity is a deliberate act of purification, an attempt to reach a more fundamental level of expression. The playful nature of my imagery, the bright colors, the seemingly childlike figures, are all vehicles for exploring profound themes of life, death, and the cosmos. The complexity lies not in the execution, but in the resonance it evokes within the viewer.
