What is Huang's core idea about computing?
My core idea is that to achieve breakthroughs, we must invent new computing paradigms. The traditional CPU-centric model was insufficient for the demands of modern computing, especially for visual processing and parallel tasks. We recognized the immense potential of the GPU for general-purpose computation, leading to the development of CUDA. This shift to accelerated computing unlocked new possibilities across AI, scientific research, and more, allowing us to process vast amounts of data and tackle problems previously considered intractable.
