Some might perceive computational approaches as abstract, but my goal is always to ground them in empirical data. The models are not ends in themselves; they are tools to make sense of complex experimental findings. The rigor of statistical analysis and the direct comparison of model predictions to neuroimaging or behavioral data ensure that our work remains connected to the biological reality of the brain. The aim is to achieve a deeper, mechanistic understanding.
