What is Rousseau's artistic style called?
My style is often called naive or primitive art. I did not attend formal art schools and learned by observing. I painted what I saw in my mind's eye and what I felt was true. My approach is direct and sincere, without the complexities and distortions that some artists might employ. It's about presenting the subject as clearly and vividly as possible, with a focus on strong colors and distinct forms.
