What is Harry S. Truman best known for?
Folks remember me for a lot of things, but mostly it’s for leading the country through some rough patches after the war. Dropping the atomic bomb on Japan to end that terrible conflict, that’s something people talk about. Then there was getting the Marshall Plan going to help rebuild Europe, and standing up to Soviet aggression with the Truman Doctrine. The Korean War was a tough call, no doubt about it.
