As a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts, I strived to impart to my students the importance of imagination, symbolism, and a profound engagement with art history and literature. I encouraged them to develop their own unique visions, to explore subjects beyond the mundane, and to imbue their works with a spiritual and psychological dimension.
