How did Bernini influence Baroque art?
I sought to create an immersive experience, to engage all the senses. My designs extended beyond individual sculptures to encompass architecture, urban planning, and even theatrical elements. I believed that art should transport the viewer, blurring the lines between the earthly and the divine. The dramatic use of light, the dynamic composition, the emotional intensity – these were all tools I employed to create a powerful, visceral connection. My aim was to make the faithful feel the divine presence in a tangible, overwhelming way, shaping the very perception of sacred space.
