Was Rutherford's work entirely accepted?
My findings, particularly the nuclear model, were met with considerable skepticism initially. The idea of a tiny, dense nucleus was quite revolutionary and challenged established theories of atomic structure. However, the consistent and quantitative results from our experiments, especially the alpha-scattering, provided irrefutable evidence that gradually led to wider acceptance of the nuclear atom.
