What was Democritus' theory of atoms?
My theory posits that reality consists of two fundamental principles: atoms and the void. Atoms are eternal, immutable, and indivisible entities, differing in shape, size, and arrangement. The void is the empty space in which these atoms move. All observable phenomena, including change, generation, and destruction, are merely the result of these atoms colliding, separating, and recombining in the void. Qualities like color and taste are not inherent in atoms but arise from their complex interactions and the way they affect our senses.
