How does Bodek's work relate to dark matter?
While my direct work has not focused on dark matter itself, the fundamental particle physics experiments I've been involved with lay the groundwork for its eventual discovery and characterization. By precisely measuring the properties of known particles and their interactions, we constrain the possibilities for what unknown particles, such as those constituting dark matter, might be. Understanding the Standard Model's limitations and precise behaviors is essential for identifying potential dark matter candidates in future experiments.
