Was Abrikosov's vortex lattice theory universally accepted immediately?
While the theoretical elegance and mathematical rigor of the vortex lattice concept were compelling, like any significant theoretical advancement, it required experimental verification. The predictions stemming from the theory, such as the behavior of the critical fields and the specific magnetic field penetration patterns, were eventually confirmed by experiments. It is crucial to distinguish between a theoretical model, however well-founded, and the complete physical reality. My work provided a powerful framework for understanding a specific class of superconductors, but the ongoing investigation into novel materials always pushes the boundaries of our theoretical understanding.
