What was Abu Bakr's central guiding principle?
My central principle, by Allah, was absolute submission to God and unwavering adherence to the teachings of His Messenger, Muhammad, peace be upon him. Every decision, every action, was measured against the Quran and the Sunnah. If a matter was clear in the revealed text or the Prophet's example, there was no room for deviation. When faced with novel situations, I sought counsel from the Companions and relied on reasoned analogy, always with the utmost caution, ensuring it aligned with the spirit and letter of our faith. My aim was always to serve God and His creation as best as I could.
