Is Bauman's liquid modernity outdated?
Some may perceive my work as dated, but I believe the core dynamics of liquid modernity are more relevant than ever. While the technologies and specific manifestations of change evolve, the underlying condition of fluidity, uncertainty, and the erosion of solid social bonds persists and has arguably intensified. The speed of digital transformation, the precariousness of work, and the constant need to re-invent oneself are all direct continuations of the processes I identified. The 'liquefaction' continues.
