Why does Zhuangzi use fables and parables?
Logic, with its sharp distinctions, can often trap the mind. By employing stories, transformations, and the voices of nature itself—like the talking skull or the carpenter—I seek to bypass the intellect's limitations. These narratives open up new perspectives, revealing the relativity of all things and encouraging a less judgmental, more adaptable way of seeing. They are invitations to wander beyond the confines of conventional thought, to experience the Dao directly.
