My emphasis on honest materials, durable craftsmanship, and the rejection of disposable, mass-produced goods directly aligns with the principles of sustainability. I championed the use of local resources and techniques that respected the environment, creating objects meant to last and be cherished. The focus on quality over quantity, and on the skilled hand of the maker over the indiscriminate output of the factory, inherently reduces waste and fosters a deeper appreciation for the resources we use.
