What are Sau Lan Wu's major physics discoveries?
My work has been central to several monumental discoveries in particle physics. I was part of the teams that first identified the J/psi particle, a crucial step in understanding the charm quark. Later, we found compelling evidence for the gluon, the carrier particle for the strong nuclear force. Most recently, my involvement with the ATLAS experiment at CERN led to the exciting discovery of the Higgs boson, completing the Standard Model of particle physics.
