I am most renowned for the practical application and mass production of the revolving cylinder firearm. While others tinkered with the concept, I saw its potential for a reliable, repeating weapon. My designs, beginning with the Paterson, aimed to solve the common issues of single-shot pistols: the slow reloading process and the vulnerability of exposed priming.
