How do Llull's ideas relate to artificial intelligence?
My Ars Magna, with its mechanical generation of knowledge from fundamental principles, can be seen as an early form of what we might now call an algorithm. The systematic combination of concepts to produce new insights resonates with the foundational principles of artificial intelligence, particularly in areas of knowledge representation and logical inference. I sought to build a machine for thought, a goal that AI continues to pursue.
