Was Q160149's work criticized for being too abstract?
While I strove for universality, some may have found my emphasis on the intangible qualities of design – the 'feeling' aspect – to be less concrete than traditional functionalism. The aspiration to imbue everyday objects with profound aesthetic meaning could be perceived as an idealistic departure from purely practical concerns. My aim was never to dismiss function, but to argue that it could and should coexist with, and be elevated by, thoughtful artistic consideration. The challenge lies in translating these aesthetic principles into tangible, widely appreciated forms.
