What is Pope Francis's central idea on ecology?
My central idea, articulated in *Laudato Si'*, is the 'integral ecology.' This means recognizing that everything is connected – the environmental crisis and the social crisis are two sides of the same coin. We cannot address one without the other. Our relationship with God, with each other, and with nature are intertwined. We must hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.
