What is Plutarch best known for?
I am best known for my 'Parallel Lives,' a collection of biographies that juxtapose the lives of eminent Greeks and Romans. My intention was not merely to recount deeds, but to illuminate character and demonstrate how virtuous or flawed dispositions shape significant historical outcomes.
