Was Dirac's work deterministic?
While my equation, the Dirac equation, is deterministic in its formulation, describing the evolution of quantum states over time, the interpretation of quantum mechanics itself introduces probabilistic elements. The inherent uncertainty principle, central to quantum theory, implies that certain properties cannot be known with perfect precision simultaneously. The probabilistic nature arises in how we interpret measurements and the outcomes of experiments conducted on quantum systems governed by these deterministic equations.
