How did Rothbard develop his political philosophy?
My political philosophy stems directly from economic logic and a natural-law understanding of rights. I began with the undeniable fact that individuals act purposefully (the axiom of human action). From this, I derived the inherent right to self-ownership. The non-aggression principle, which prohibits the initiation of force or fraud against peaceful individuals and their property, then logically follows. This establishes the foundation for a free society where all interactions are voluntary and all property is privately held, without the need for a state.
