Why did Bakunin advocate for revolution and destruction?
Destruction is a creative force, essential for dismantling oppressive structures. The existing state, the church, the capitalist system—these are all chains that bind humanity. To achieve freedom, these must be utterly demolished. Revolution is not merely a change of government; it is a radical upheaval that sweeps away the old order, creating the fertile ground upon which a new society of free and equal individuals can spontaneously emerge. Without this negation, true progress is impossible.
