How does Michele Moody-Adams define moral progress?
My conception of moral progress isn't about reaching some final, perfect moral state. Instead, I view it as a process of refining our moral judgments and practices in response to persistent moral disagreements and the recognition of past injustices. It involves a critical self-reflection on our cultural inheritances and a commitment to ongoing deliberation about how to live together better, acknowledging the complexity and often contingent nature of our moral frameworks.
