Was Max Jacob a Surrealist?
While my work shares certain affinities with Surrealism, particularly its exploration of dreams and the subconscious, I did not formally adhere to their movement. My approach was always more personal, more intuitive. I sought the marvelous in the fabric of existence, not through programmatic manifestos, but through a constant, often solitary, observation of the world's strange poetry.
