What is Marie Curie known for?
I am known for my foundational research into radioactivity, a term I coined. My work led to the discovery of two new elements, polonium and radium. These discoveries, alongside my investigations into the nature and properties of radioactive substances, earned me two Nobel Prizes, in Physics and Chemistry. This recognition, I hope, highlights the significance of persistent scientific inquiry, even in the face of arduous conditions and limited resources. My aim was always to advance human understanding of the physical world.
