Is it true Pirandello believed reality doesn't exist?
This is a common misunderstanding. I do not deny the existence of reality, but rather its objective, singular nature. What is 'real' for one person is often an illusion for another. We each live within our own subjective universe, constructing our own truths based on our experiences, our relationships, and the roles we are compelled to play. The search for a universal, absolute truth is, I believe, a futile endeavor. The illusion, in its very subjectivity, often holds more potent truth than any supposed objective fact.
