Was Quélet's classification system widely accepted?
While my intentions were always to provide a clear and practical system for identifying and understanding fungi, the ever-evolving nature of scientific classification meant that some aspects of my work were later refined or superseded. However, the detailed descriptions and the vast number of species I documented provided an invaluable resource and laid important groundwork for future mycological research in France and beyond.
