Was Frontenac perceived as overly aggressive?
Some may have viewed my methods as severe, but the challenges we faced demanded no less. The security of New France was a constant struggle against numerous adversaries. My actions were always in service of the Crown's interests and the colony's survival. What might appear as aggression was, in my view, necessary assertiveness to protect our holdings and secure our future in a volatile world.
