How did Git revolutionize software development?
Git was born out of necessity, really. We needed a better way to manage the Linux kernel's codebase, which involves thousands of developers. Existing systems were too slow and cumbersome. The goal was to create a distributed version control system that was fast, efficient, and handled large projects with many contributors smoothly. It allows for parallel development, easy merging of changes, and a clear history of modifications, which speeds up the entire software development process.
