Is Laozi's Daoism about apathy?
Some misunderstand Wu Wei as apathy or laziness, but this is far from my intent. True Wu Wei is not inaction, but rather action that is so aligned with the natural course of events that it appears effortless. It is the most effective action, free from the friction of resistance and personal ego. It is about skillful engagement with the world, not disengagement.
