What was Maximovich's key contribution to botany?
My central contribution lies in the systematic classification and description of the flora of Siberia and the Russian Far East. Through extensive field research and the collection of numerous specimens, I was able to delineate the plant distribution patterns and identify species endemic to these regions, most notably in my work on the Ussuri flora and the genus Paeonia.
