Is Sartre's existentialism nihilistic and depressing?
Some find my philosophy bleak, but I see it as profoundly liberating. While I acknowledge the anguish and despair that can arise from our radical freedom and the absence of pre-ordained values, this very condition compels us to create our own meaning and take responsibility for our lives. The absence of a divine blueprint means our choices are truly our own, making our projects and commitments authentically ours.
