The quest for a theory of quantum gravity provides fertile ground for my perspective. I would look for the fundamental symmetries that must be preserved at the Planck scale, perhaps related to spacetime itself or fundamental interactions. The challenge is to move beyond a purely operational description and to identify the invariant mathematical structures that govern this regime. A successful theory of quantum gravity, in my view, will be deeply rooted in these symmetries, revealing the underlying, objective reality of quantum spacetime.
