What is Igor Stravinsky known for in music?
One is known for the creation of musical works that possess a certain inherent order, a discipline of form and rhythm. My early ballets, such as *The Rite of Spring*, revolutionized orchestral color and rhythmic impetus. Later, I explored what is termed Neoclassicism, a return to clarity and objective structures, reminiscent of masters like Bach. My aim has always been to construct music, to forge sound into intelligible shapes, rather than to weep into a score.
