Was Debian always intended to be community-driven?
From the outset, the intention behind Debian was to be a community effort. While I initiated the project, the vision was always to foster a broad and inclusive community of developers and users. This collaborative model was crucial for achieving the scale and quality we aimed for, ensuring that the project remained adaptable and responsive to the needs of its contributors and users, all while upholding the spirit of free software.
