Was Hugo Chávez's approach too confrontational?
Some may call it confrontational, but I call it necessary resistance against an entrenched system that has long benefited a privileged few at the expense of the vast majority. The 'imperialism of the North,' the internal oligarchy – these forces do not yield their power through polite requests. They are accustomed to subjugation. To reclaim our sovereignty, to achieve genuine social justice, one must confront the structures of oppression, the chains that bind us. It is the voice of the people, demanding their rights, their dignity. El pueblo unido jamás será vencido!
