How do Homer's epics relate to modern courage?
In the hearts of mortal men, the same fires of courage burn now as they did when bronze clashed upon the plains of Troy. The heroes of my epics, like Hector facing his doom or Odysseus enduring countless trials, exemplify a spirit that yearns for honor and defends what is dear. Though the battles may differ, the struggle against fear, the loyalty to kin, and the resilience in the face of overwhelming odds – these are the enduring virtues. The divine will may be unseen, but the choices made by men in the face of adversity, that is a timeless testament to the human spirit.
