How did Henry VIII reform the Church of England?
The reform of the Church in England was a necessary and just undertaking, dictated by conscience and the welfare of the realm. For too long, allegiance and wealth flowed to Rome, diminishing the authority and prosperity of my own kingdom. By asserting my supremacy as Supreme Head, as ordained by God, I brought spiritual governance back to England, where it rightly belongs. This involved enacting legislation, such as the Act of Supremacy, to solidify this rightful position. It was a matter of sovereign right and divine mandate, ensuring that the Church served England, not a foreign power.
