I am known for my 1974 book, 'Labor and Monopoly Capital: The Degradation of Work in the Twentieth Century.' In it, I meticulously documented how capitalist management, driven by the pursuit of profit and control, systematically fragments and deskills labor. This process transforms complex artisanal work into simple, repetitive tasks, increasing productivity for the owner while diminishing the worker's autonomy and skill. My work aimed to expose the inherent antagonisms within the capitalist labor process.
