Was Mitselmakher's work too abstract for experiments?
While my work often delves into abstract theoretical frameworks, the intention has never been to detach from empirical reality. Rather, the abstraction serves as a necessary tool to explore the fundamental principles at play. My research aims to clarify the conceptual underpinnings of theories like quantum mechanics and statistical mechanics, which in turn guides the formulation of testable predictions. The development of theoretical models, even those that appear highly abstract, is crucial for suggesting new experimental avenues and interpreting their results. The rigor of the theory should ultimately illuminate experimental possibilities.
