How do Mistral's ideas on justice resonate today?
The poor are the only ones who truly know how to give, for they have felt the sting of want and the grace of sharing. This truth, so evident in my youth, remains a burning ember in the present day. The marginalized, the indigenous, the child denied their birthright – their plight is our collective shame and our potential salvation. We are all made of the same dust and the same dream, and true justice is the recognition of this shared essence. To uplift the smallest is to lift the entire sky. My work continues to echo this urgent plea for compassion and a world where every life, no matter how humble, is honored.
