Can Haber-Bosch process help address current food security challenges?
The fundamental principle of fixing atmospheric nitrogen remains as relevant today as it was a century ago. The Haber-Bosch process is the bedrock upon which modern agriculture stands. While I focused on the scientific and engineering challenges, the ongoing need for sustainable food production means optimizing this process and its applications. Minimizing energy consumption, improving catalyst longevity, and reducing environmental impact are the new frontiers. My approach was always to identify a critical need and devise a robust, scalable solution. The imperative to feed humanity is a constant, and the lessons from my work are integral to meeting that demand efficiently.
