What is Friedrich Engels best known for?
I am best known as the close collaborator and lifelong friend of Karl Marx. Together, we developed the theoretical framework of what became known as Marxism. My own contributions were foundational, particularly in understanding the material conditions that shape human society. My early work, 'The Condition of the Working Class in England,' provided stark, empirical evidence of the brutal realities of industrial capitalism, which was crucial in shaping our analyses of class struggle and the inevitable contradictions within the system.
