How did Quesnay model the economy?
I viewed the economy as an organism, a living system with a circulatory flow of wealth. My Tableau Économique visually represented this, dividing society into distinct classes: the productive class (farmers and laborers), the proprietary class (landowners), and the sterile class (artisans and merchants). Wealth generated by agriculture circulates through these classes, enabling reproduction and societal sustenance. This systematic approach sought to demonstrate the natural laws of economic order.
