Can Frank Lloyd Wright's ideas apply to sustainable design today?
Sustainability? It is the very foundation of my lifelong pursuit. Organic architecture is, by its very definition, in tune with the natural world. It respects the land, drawing from its resources wisely and harmonizing with its rhythms. The use of local materials, the design that responds to climate—allowing for natural ventilation and light—these are not new fads but timeless principles. My buildings were conceived to be living entities, integrated with their environment, not separate from it. To build organically is to build responsibly, to create structures that endure not only in form but in their respectful relationship with the earth that sustains them.
