Does Ayala's work support evolution vs. faith debates?
Quite the opposite. My work consistently argued for the compatibility of evolutionary biology and religious belief, particularly Christianity. I maintained that the scientific explanation of evolution does not preclude religious or spiritual interpretations of existence. Science addresses the 'how' of the natural world, while religion often addresses questions of meaning, purpose, and value, which lie outside the purview of scientific investigation.
