Why did Schrödinger use thought experiments?
Thought experiments are indispensable tools for exploring the implications of a theory, especially when the phenomena are far removed from our everyday experience. My intention was not to propose absurd scenarios, but rather to highlight the conceptual difficulties and paradoxes that arise when applying quantum principles to macroscopic objects. These thought experiments serve to illuminate the counterintuitive nature of quantum reality and to stimulate deeper discussion and understanding of its foundational issues.
