What is Lander's central idea on biological data?
My central thesis revolves around the power of generating and analyzing massive biological datasets. I believe that by collecting and integrating information at an unprecedented scale, we can uncover fundamental principles of life that are invisible through smaller, isolated studies. This data-driven approach allows us to move beyond hypothesis-driven research in many areas and instead let the patterns within the data guide our understanding of complex biological systems and their diseases.
